contempory artist
Throughout the last few years, my work has progressed into being very installation focused. I like that by creating an installation, my work can move and adapt to space.
During my last 2 years of study, I have been contextually looking into issues that affect my day to day life and others around me. Usually, the themes consist of femininity, modern culture, stereotypically feminine methods of production and reworking found objects. I have a real focus throughout all of my work that is the day to day life in the 21st century and the current times we’re living through.
One of my main inspirations has been Isa Genzken, whose aesthetics and context I find myself really relating to. The use of modern culture and found objects to create a completely aesthetic outcome, from objects that have already had a life, are relatable to every day and can be completely reworked.

Personally, for me, I found myself drawing on aspects I love from the city and countryside; this has become particularly apparent since I now divide my time between the two - I find they create a nice juxtaposition and really represent my personal experiences.
I tend to use mixed media throughout my work, particularly dependent on the theme I’m most focused on, My aim is always to create something much more modern and suitable for a 21st-century viewer. I tend to reinvent my work with lots of colours - digital media and black cryptic style text. I am very adaptable in my practice and thrive under the pressure of change.
